How to Farm Artifacts in Limitless Survivor

Stack permanent boosts faster with Prestige bonuses, stable floors, and smart session pacing.

What Artifacts are

Artifacts are permanent, stackable boosts in Limitless Survivor. Unlike random gear affixes that spice individual runs, Artifacts attach to your account and keep working after death, timeout, or Prestige. They are the incremental heart of Tam Lab’s design alongside crystal stat upgrades.

Each Artifact line you discover can typically be stacked multiple times, increasing its bonus. Stacks combine with your up to five skills, crystal stats, and run gear affixes such as on-kill explosions, chain lightning on crit, and attack count or area modifiers.

Drop rates and patch 1.0.02

Base Artifact drop rates received a ~67% increase in patch 1.0.02, on top of any Prestige bonuses you unlock by spending Yellow Crystals. If Artifacts felt rare during launch week, verify your game is updated before judging rates.

Prestige explicitly raises Artifact drop rates and crystal gains in exchange for resetting stage progress. That trade is usually worth it once you farm Normal Floor 7+ for Yellow Crystals comfortably. Read How to Prestige for timing.

Why farming feels “slow” later

A common pain point: Artifact drip diminishes after you already own many stacks. Early drops feel explosive because every roll is new. Later, duplicate lines and filled collection slots mean fewer noticeable upgrades per hour even when raw drop rates improved.

That is structural, not necessarily a sign you are farming wrong. Mitigate it by:

  • Prestiging when the next Artifact rate tier beats another hour on the same floor
  • Pushing one floor higher when Time Limit and HP allow, because higher Normal floors often pair with better session density
  • Rotating farm builds toward clear speed—see Best Builds and Affix Priority
  • Using auto-play on proven floors for passive stacks—Auto-Play Guide covers limits

Best floors and session length

Farm Artifacts on the highest Normal floor you clear reliably. Failed runs lose Time Limit and drop opportunities. Boss floors can be lucrative but risky; learn patterns in Floors and Bosses before making them your default farm.

Session length is personal. Incremental games reward many short stable runs over long streaks that end in a preventable death. Set auto-play on a floor where pickup range—often a sore spot after Prestige—still collects most crystals and drops.

Synergy with Yellow Crystals

Yellow Crystals drop from Normal Floor 7+ and fuel Prestige, which in turn accelerates Artifact farming. Alternate between:

  1. Yellow Crystal sessions until the next Prestige tier is affordable
  2. Post-Prestige re-climbs with pickup and Time Limit upgrades
  3. Dedicated Artifact farms at peak stable floor under new drop rates

Artifacts vs gear affixes

Do not confuse the two systems:

SystemPersistsTypical effects
ArtifactsAlwaysPermanent stackable account boosts
Gear affixesPer runExplosions, chain lightning on crit, attack area/count

Affixes shape how fast you clear during a farm session; Artifacts raise your baseline every session. Upgrade crystal stats via Stat Upgrade Priority so both systems scale together.

Achievements and unlock pacing

Achievements unlock weapons, skills, and items that make Artifact farms faster. If drops feel fine but clears are slow, check Achievements before blaming RNG. Unlocked skills feed into Skill Tier List priorities.

AFK and active farming mix

Auto-play supports AFK Artifact farming but is imperfect—expect occasional stuck paths or boss wipes. Babysit the first hour on a new floor, then promote it to AFK status once clears are boringly consistent.

Active play helps when you test new five-skill layouts or affix combinations that might push you one floor higher. Higher floors compound both crystal and Artifact income when stable.

Demo vs full game

Demo progress does not carry to the paid Steam release. Artifact collections start empty in the full game even if you practiced routes in the demo.

Artifacts reward patience and planning. Stack them on rhythm with Prestige, and the incremental curve stays satisfying deep into Floor 7+ content.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do Artifacts stack in Limitless Survivor?

Yes. Artifacts provide permanent stackable boosts that persist across runs and Prestige resets.

How did patch 1.0.02 affect Artifact drops?

Base Artifact drop rates increased by about 67%. Prestige bonuses still apply on top of the new baseline.

Why do Artifacts feel slow after I own many?

Duplicate stacks and a fuller collection mean fewer dramatic upgrades per hour. Prestige, higher stable floors, and faster builds help.

What is the best floor to farm Artifacts?

The highest Normal floor you clear reliably, often Floor 7+ once Yellow Crystal income is stable.

Do Artifacts drop during auto-play?

Yes, on successful runs. Auto-play is imperfect, so use proven floors and monitor boss failures.
