Limitless Survivor Skill Tier List

Ranked skill priorities for Time Limit clears, boss checks, and AFK Floor 7+ farms.

How to read this tier list

Limitless Survivor lets you equip up to five skills per run. Skills interact with random gear affixes—on-kill explosions, chain lightning on critical hits, attack count, attack area—and with permanent Artifacts and crystal stats. This tier list ranks skills by general account progress, not single-run god rolls.

Achievements unlock weapons, skills, and items. If a high-tier skill is locked, work toward its Achievement instead of forcing a template you cannot assemble. Demo players note: demo progress does not carry to the full Steam game.

Tiers:

  • S — Defines clear speed or survival for Floor 7+ farms and Prestige re-climbs
  • A — Strong in most layouts; flexible second or third pick
  • B — Situational; good with specific affixes or until unlocks arrive
  • C — Niche or early-game stepping stones

Patch 1.0.02 doubled Yellow Crystal drops and raised Artifact rates ~67%, so Time Limit pressure matters more than raw grind length—skills that widen effective DPS win.

S-tier skills

Skills in S-tier excel at wave clear, Time Limit safety, or boss stability with minimal micro. They pair well with area and attack-count affixes from Affix Priority.

Typical S-tier traits:

  • Reliable area coverage without perfect aim—important for Auto-Play Guide farms
  • Consistent damage uptime during spawn spikes on Normal Floor 7+
  • Synergy with on-kill explosions and chain lightning on crit

Exact skill names vary by unlock order; prioritize any skill you own that matches those traits over tier labels copied from other games.

A-tier skills

A-tier skills are core flex picks: strong damage or defense that does not hard-require a single affix line. Use two A-tier skills to bridge until S-tier unlocks arrive from Achievements.

Strong pairs:

  • One area clear skill plus one single-target burst for boss checks—see Floors and Bosses
  • One defensive or sustain skill when HP is your failure mode before attack upgrades catch up

B-tier skills

B-tier skills shine in specialized builds listed in Best Builds—crit-chain setups, explosion chains, or boss burst windows. They can feel weak without matching affixes or Artifact stacks from How to Farm Artifacts.

Promote B-tier skills when your gear consistently rolls the affixes they need.

C-tier and early unlocks

Starting skills often land here—not because they are useless, but because five-skill lategame layouts outscale them. Keep one comfortable C-tier skill while learning controls via Controls until Achievements replace it.

Five-skill composition rules

  1. At least one area tool for Normal floor swarm density
  2. At least one answer to bosses—burst, invulnerability window, or sustain
  3. Optional defensive slot if HP upgrades lag—Stat Upgrade Priority
  4. Fill remaining slots with chain-friendly skills if affixes support crit or on-kill procs
  5. Revisit after Prestige—pickup and Time Limit builds during re-climb may swap one slot temporarily

Skill choice by game phase

Pre–Floor 7

Prioritize skills that reduce Time Limit failures on early Normals. Crystal spending beats skill min-maxing here.

Floor 7+ and Yellow Crystals

Favor low-maintenance clear for Yellow Crystal and Artifact farms—Yellow Crystals.

Prestige re-climb

Same as Floor 7+ with extra weight on pickup-friendly positioning—skills that move less randomly help imperfect auto-play.

Boss walls

Swap one clear skill for burst or survival until the boss becomes a farm checkpoint.

Synergy with affixes and Artifacts

Affix themeSkill preference
On-kill explosionsFast kill skills, area coverage
Chain lightning on critStable crit uptime, moderate attack speed
Attack countSkills with many hit instances
Attack areaWide templates, less precision

Artifacts stack permanent bonuses that effectively promote skills up a tier when synergistic. Farm stacks before rerolling your bar every session.

Auto-play considerations

Auto-play is imperfect. S-tier for AFK means forgiving hitboxes and steady uptime, not maximum theoretical DPS. Test manual clears before AFK—details in Auto-Play Guide.

Revisit this list after major Achievement unlocks and after each Prestige—your best five skills shift with Artifacts, affix luck, and floor goal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many skills can I equip in Limitless Survivor?

Up to five. Early progression may use fewer until Achievements unlock additional skills.

Why is a skill tier different for me than the list?

Affixes, Artifacts, and Achievement unlocks change skill value. Use tiers as priorities, not absolute rules.

Which skills are best for Floor 7+ farming?

Low-maintenance area clear skills with steady uptime—ideal for Yellow Crystal and Artifact farms and auto-play.

Do skills unlock through Achievements?

Yes. Achievements unlock weapons, skills, and items. Some high-tier picks require tracked goals first.

Should I change skills after Prestige?

Often yes during re-climb. Temporarily favor Time Limit and pickup-friendly layouts before returning to max-DPS setups.
